Zaton Campsite among Europe’s top 30

Campsite Zaton near Zadar has recently been pronounced one of the best 30 camps in Europe.

The rating was made by the leading European auto & camping club – the German ADAC – whose representatives included Camp Zaton in the Leading Campings of Europe club, comprising 30 highest-quality European camps.

Operating within the Zadar-based company Turisthotel, Camp Zaton confirmed its quality by wining ADAC’s popular red sing called  Superplatz this year.

The camp has ensured the sign for highest-quality camps awarded by ADAC for 2008 as well, and an additional acknowledgement of quality is the announced hosting of the  annual meeting of the European Camping Association(EFCO) to be held in Zaton in September of this year.

However, these are not the only acknowledgements it has received: in 2006, it was presented with the Best Camp of the Year  in Croatia award by the Confederazione Italiana Campeggiatori  and the Dutch camping guide ANWB, whose representatives presented Camp Zaton with the same award in 2005, and it has also received some awards in earlier years.

Situated in the town of Zaton not far from Zadar, Camp Zaton has  a total of 1500 parcels located 50 to 500 meters from a sandy beach and the accompanying facilities. The camp is partially adapted to the disabled, and pets are allowed both in the camp and in some beach zones.

In addition to amenities such as modern bathrooms, electricity connections, parking spaces, reception, picnic and barbecue areas, and sandy and gravelly beaches suitable for all ages and handicapped persons, the camp has a rich catering and sports offer, animation for all ages, shops, newsstands, boutiques, and a swimming pool for children and adults.  Find out more at Camp Zaton website: http://www.zaton.hr/
